All women want to keep their skin looking young and vibrant. There are many procedures and chemicals that can help accomplish that, but here is a list of things you can do to keep your skin young naturally.

Keep Your Body Hydrated

Skin needs moisture to stay healthy and plump. If you aren’t drinking enough water then you may have problems with healthy skin. You can always add lotion, but it’s better for the moisture to come from the inside out.

Wear Sunglasses

It might not seem like sunglasses could do much for your skin, but when you don’t wear sunglasses while in the sun, you tend to squint. This action, especially when it’s repeated daily for years, will cause the skin around your eyes to form wrinkles called crow’s feet. If you ever find yourself squinting, be sure to break out the sunglasses.

Use Sunscreen

The UV rays from the sun cause free radicals to form in your skin which can damage the cells. When these cells are damaged, the skin loses its elasticity and wrinkles form. By wearing sunscreen, you will protect your skin from the UV rays, so your skin stays healthier.

Exfoliate

It’s important to exfoliate once or twice a week. Exfoliating rids your skin of dead skin sells that are sitting on top of the skin. By exfoliating, you encourage your epidermis layer to form a new layer of skin that is younger, healthier, and is able to absorb moisture easily.

Sleep on Your Back

One thing that causes wrinkles is when your skin is creased in the same way over and over and over (such as with the crow’s feet from squinting or smile lines around the mouth from smiling). When you sleep on your side or your tummy, your facial skin is likely being creased in the same way every night and those will eventually form wrinkles. You can avoid this by sleeping on your back, which is also better for your alignment.

Using these simple tips can help your skin in the long run, and it’s all done without plastic surgery!
